TASKBAR
COLONY
A tiny space colony that lives above your taskbar and grows while you work.
Coming to Steam. Or join the Discord and say hi.
Your colony is already running at the bottom of this page. Click the ground.
Ambient by design
It works where you work
The sky is click-through
A slim strip of another world, resting just above your taskbar. Clicks in its empty sky pass straight through to whatever you are doing. Only the colony itself catches your mouse.
It never asks for your time
No timers, no dailies, nothing that expires while you sleep. You pick the goals from a board, and they wait. Walk away for a week; the colony is glad to see you back.
Everyone aboard is somebody
Colonists arrive with names and jobs. They walk to work, doze through the night, and stop to watch your cursor pass. When a colony ship leaves, the colony and its crew go into the log.
One day, you light the Ring
Colonies end on your terms: everyone lifts off, and the next one starts stronger. High overhead, a Ring takes shape span by span, each one carried up by a departing colony. Lighting it is a moment you get once.
The loop
Glance. Collect. Get back to work.
Build your strip
Buy buildings from the pop-out command window. Each one gets its own patch of the strip, and the domes bring crew to walk it.
Catch what drifts by
Supply pods drift down, cargo ships wait on the pad, meteor showers pass overhead. A glance tells you if something is worth a click. Missing one costs you nothing.
Found the next colony
When the colony has given all it can, everyone boards. You watch the last ship climb, and the flag goes back up somewhere new.
From first shovel to city lights
Watch it become a place
A proper Steam game
Achievements worth chasing, saves that follow you between machines, and colony flags made by other players on the Steam Workshop. Yours can fly over someone else's colony.
